Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes Adapted from https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/15925/creamy-au-gratin-potatoes/ I made this. Servings: 6 INGREDIENTS 2½ pounds russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch slices 1 onion, sliced into semi-circles paprika, salt and pepper to taste 3 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons GF flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups oat milk 7 oz shredded Dubliner cheese STEPS 1) Allow 2.5 - 3 hours 2) Grease a 2 quart or larger casserole dish (A doubled recipe works nicely in enameled dutch oven) 3) Layer 1/2 of the potatoes into bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Season with paprika, salt and pepper. 4) Top with the onion slices, and add the remaining potatoes. Season this layer as well. 5) Preheat oven to 400F 6) In a medium-size saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Mix in the flour and salt, and stir constantly with a whisk for one minute. Stir in milk. Cook until mixture is well thickened, about 10 minutes. 7) Stir in cheese all at once, and continue stirring until melted, about 30 to 60 seconds. Pour cheese over the potatoes, and cover the dish with aluminum foil. 8) Bake 1 1/2 hours in the preheated oven. 9) Brown with torch, if desired, before serving. NOTES Never looks like the picture, but always satisfies! Changed to GF flour, oat milk
