Honey Garlic Pork Chops Adapted from https://www.tasteasianfood.com/honey-garlic-pork-chops/ I made this. Servings: 3 INGREDIENTS Ingredients A: 3 pork chops 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper 1/4 tsp salt 1.5 tbsp fish sauce 1 tsp ginger (grated) 1/4 cup honey 2 tbsp Chinese black vinegar Ingredients B: Oil to pan-fry 2 tbsp chopped garlic 1/4 cup chicken broth Thinly sliced green onions to garnish STEPS 1) Made a few cuts on the side of each chop to ensure the pork chops remained flat without becoming misshapen during cooking. 2) Marinate the chops with crushed black pepper, salt, fish sauce, honey, and vinegar for at least two hours, preferably longer. 3) After marinating, scrape the excess marinade from the pork chops. The marinade is reserved to make the gravy in the next step. 4) Heat some oil over low heat in a large skillet to pan-fry the pork chops until golden brown on both sides. Maintaining a low to medium heat is crucial to prevent the pork chops from charring too quickly. The sauce to coat the pork chops: 1) Sautéing some minced garlic in oil until it becomes aromatic. 2) Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and bring it to a boil. Add some chicken broth to enhance the flavor further. 3) Next, simmer the broth and marinade mixture until it becomes sticky and thick. 4) Coat the pork chops with sticky honey garlic sauce over low heat. 5) Transfer to the plate, and sprinkle with some sliced green onions to serve.
