Pizza with Fresh Tomatoes and Basil ✅

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 8 ounces fresh sliced mozzarella
- 3 Roma tomatoes, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Sauce
- 3 T extra virgin olive oil
- 2 t minced fresh garlic
- 2 t grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 t dried oregano
- 1/8 t red pepper flakes
- 1/4 t dried parsley
Steps
Prepare the sauce and preheat the oven to 450F.
Sprinkle the cornmeal over a rimmed baking sheet. Roll out dough and transfer to prepared baking sheet.
Spread the sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Arrange the mozzarella and then tomato slices in layers over the sauce. Arrange basil leaves on top, drizzle with a little more olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Bake until the crusts are crisp and brown on the bottom and the cheese is melted on top, about 15 minutes.
Cut the pizza into wedges and serve immediately.
