Shrimp Mozambique Adapted from https://fedbysab.com/shrimp-mozambique/ INGREDIENTS 1 pound shrimp (shell on and deveined, or peeled and deveined shrimp) 1 small onion (finely diced) 6 garlic cloves (minced) 1 cup white wine 2 tablespoon paprika 4 teaspoon pimenta moida (Portuguese hot pepper paste, or hot sauce of choice) ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste) ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped) olive oil (for cooking) lemon wedges (for serving) STEPS 1) In a large frying pan, heat oil on medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until softened, approximately 1 minute. 2) Add in salt and paprika and continue sautéing for 1 minute. 3) Add in pimenta moida or hot sauce of choice and stir until fully combined. 4) Add in the shrimp and sauté until they start to turn light pink. 5) Pour in the wine and let simmer for 1 minute on low heat. The wine will evaporate slightly and create a thicker sauce. 6) Season to taste with additional pimenta moida or hot sauce as desired. Pimenta moida already has salt added, so you want to taste the sauce before adding more salt. 7) Stir in fresh chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy! 8) Last Step! Enjoyed this recipe?
