Sweet Corn ala Jaques Pepin I made this. STEPS 1) Prep the corn: Leave the corn entirely in its husk (unpeeled) and wet the outside thoroughly. Trim off the very bottom/stem end of the ear. 2) Cook: Microwave for 5 minutes. 3) Serve: Hold the top of the cob and squeeze or push the corn right out of the husk, leaving the silks behind. 4) OR 5) Boil: Bring a pot of water to a boil with a dash of salt. Add your shucked corn. 6) Cover: Wait for the water to return to a boil. Once it does, immediately turn the heat off, cover the pot, and let the corn sit in the hot water for 5 minutes. NOTES Butter Trick: Take a slice of a baguette or white bread, slather it generously with room-temperature butter, and roll the hot cob on it.
